Robert Benton Koon, 84, of North Charleston, SC, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2019
He was born on January 18, 1935 in Ware Shoals, South Carolina, son of the late Eugenia Smith and the late Benjamin Koon.
Robert enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a huge NASCAR fan, but above all he loved spending time with his family. His family will remember him as the very best Dad, Pop and Great-Grandpa ever.
He is survived by his wife, Janie Koon; children: Theresa Koon, Robin Koon, Benjamin Koon, Michael Koon, Jennifer Koon and Tammy Davis; grandchildren: Christopher Leopard, Eric & Ashley Clark, Dylon and Kristen Hickey, Steven Koon and Matthew Koon; and great-grandchildren: Kassidy Leopard, Aubree Clark and Eli Hickey.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home West Ashley.
