Ronald Earl Nix

Ronald Earl Nix, 66, husband of Mary Jean Grissom Nix, formerly of Ann Arbor, Michigan, passed away December 21,2013 in South Carolina. Born September 30, 1947 in Piggott, Ar. he was the son of the late Calvin and Marie Parrish Nix. Ron retired from the Post Office in 2002 after 35 yrs of service. Ron enjoyed football, baseball (Tigers), hunting, fishing, and working with wood. Ron is survived by his wife; his twin brother Larry (Sue) Nix; his step children, Lisa (Eric) Kruger of Storrs, Connecticut, Donald Pickell, of Ypsilanti; and Chrisa Kelly (John) of North Charleston, S.C; his grandchildren, Justin Cameron, Hannah Kelly, Jonathon Kelly, Hannah and Madelyn Kruger; and many cousins, nieces and a nephew. Ron dearly loved his pets, Boomer and Buddy. One thing we will always remember about Ron was his many friendships with everyone he met. At his request there will be no funeral services; a celebration of life will be held for family and close friends at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Charleston Animal Society.
