Ruth Dennis Jones

Ruth Dennis Jones, 91, of Goose Creek, died November 17, 2014. Born in Roanoke, VA, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Garnie Johnson and wife to the late Arden P. Jones. Mrs. Jones was raised in Kingsport, TN and lived there most of her life. Ruth enjoyed gardening, watching birds and spending time with family at her home. She is survived by two sons, Doyle A. Jones (Linda) and Michael Jones, both of Goose Creek; three grandchildren, Sherry Wiley (Sean) of Byron, IL, Christopher Jones (Beth) of Mt. Pleasant and Stephanie Emerson (Mark) of Mt. Pleasant. Mrs. Jones is also survived by five great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Thursday, November 20, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, GOOSE CREEK CHAPEL, 869 St. James Avenue. Burial will follow in Plantation Memorial Gardens, Moncks Corner. The family will receive friends prior to service from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
