Ruth H. Young (Heidt)

Mrs. Ruth H. Young, age 96, of Charleston and widow of Thomas Young, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2015 at her home. Ruth Young was born on November 24, 1918 in Charleston, SC to the late Claudian Bernard Heidt and the late Willie Clyde Hicks Heidt. Mrs. Young was a retired payroll manager at The Citadel. Survivors include her 2 sisters, several nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 from 9-11 AM at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, James Island Chapel. Burial will follow immediately after the visitation at St. Lawrence Cemetery, 60 Huguenin Ave, Charleston, SC 29401.
