Sheri L Diliberto

August 31, 1967 — July 5, 2021

With her family by her side, Sheri Lynn Diliberto of Summerville, SC passed away July 5th after a long battle with cancer.

Born August 31, 1967, in Whittier, California to her parents, Lester and Janet Funderburg. Sheri is survived by her parents, sister Sandra Funderburg, stepson Cody Diliberto, his family, and many close family and extended family members.

Sheri grew up in Southern California until relocating to South Carolina several years ago to work for Boeing. An extremely outgoing woman with a beautiful smile and personality, she made friends easily who will all miss her very much. Even during her cancer battle, she always wanted others to smile and enjoy themselves.

Sheri has always loved the water, spending many years boating and water skiing with her family. She also loved going to professional ice hockey games, and spending time with her friends and her family were especially important to her. She was involved in planning many company events, enjoyed dancing, cooking and baking, bringing many goodies for her office friends to enjoy. The many ocean and fish decor items displayed throughout her home showed that the beach was her favorite place.

"She loved life and it loved her back!"

Expressions of sympathy may be viewed or submitted online at McAlister-Smith Funeral home www.mcalister-smith.com. A celebration of Sheri's life is being planned in both South Carolina and California.
