Stephen Ernest Schlemmer

Stephen E. Schlemmer, 68, of Summerville, died January 14, 2015. Born in St. Paul, MN, he was the son of Hattie Nakladal Schlemmer and the late Leo A. Schlemmer and husband to Rosalina Schlemmer. Stephen served his country in the United States Navy for over seventeen years and retired from civil service work. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, where he was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his wife, Rosalina Schlemmer of Summerville; mother, Hattie Schlemmer of St. Paul, MN; niece, Elizabeth Sloss of North Charleston. Stephen is also survived by many extended family members and close friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, January 19, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Goose Creek. The family will receive friends in the church prior to service from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m.
