Tamara Elizabeth Russell

January 10, 1959 — March 24, 2020

Tamara "Tami" Elizabeth Russell, 61, of Goose Creek, wife to Hugh "Heedee" Thomas Russell of 36 years, entered peacefully into eternal rest on March 24, 2020 at her home.

Born on January 10, 1959 in Orangeburg, Tami was the youngest daughter of the late James Edwin O'Quinn and Margret Elizabeth O'Quinn.

Tami, attended Brentwood Grammar School, graduated from Garrett High School in 1977 where she was a cheer leader for all four years and went on to get her LPN from Trident Technical College. She started her medical career at Trident Hospital followed by numerous private doctor offices in the Charleston area, until she became disabled.
She attended Doorway Baptist Church as a child, was a member of Life Christian Assembly and James Island Baptist Church. She loved attending small group bible studies, spending time at the beach, cheering for the Clemson Tigers, spending time with family, friends and her fur baby Lexi. Tami is survived by her husband Heedee Russell of Goose Creek, SC and sister Debbie Blanton (Grainger), niece Stacie Blanton all of Summerville, SC, sister in laws Nessee Russell and Carole Russell along with many cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, her daughter Shae Russell, brother Jim O'Quinn.

Due to the ongoing Corona Virus there will not be a memorial service at this time. There will be a Celebration of her life at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Tami's memory may be sent to the Diabetic Association or Charity of your choice.
