Adelaide “Addie” Valley-Johnson artist, free spirit, and force of nature passed away on August 24, 2026, in North Charleston, South Carolina, at 27 years old.
Addie was born March 10, 1999, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Kelly and Travis Valley. Funny, fearless, and fiercely independent, Addie built a life entirely on her own terms—wild, vivid, and unapologetically hers. She loved to say, “You can’t put a saddle on a Mustang,” and she lived by it every single day.
She was adventurous to her core, always chasing the next experience, the next laugh, the next thing that made her feel alive. Those who knew her remember someone who refused to be tamed and who made everyone around her feel a little braver just by being near her.
Addie is survived by her husband, Seve Johnson; her parents, Kelly and Travis Valley; her siblings, Jordan, Charlie, Fox, and Libby Valley; her parents-in-law, Steven Johnson and Cheryl Steberger (Rodney Simione); and her sister-in-law, Nicole Johnson, along with the many friends whose lives she touched.
