Amanda Preet Purewal

Amanda Preet Purewal (Mandi), 44, of Goose Creek, SC passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2024.

Born on October 15, 1979, in Charleston, SC, Mandi was the daughter of Melda Myrick Purewal and the late Tarsem Purewal.

Mandi earned her Bachelor's Degree from the College of Charleston and her MSW from the University of South Carolina in 2005. Mandi touched many lives through her career as a social worker at DHEC and SC Mental Health. Most of her career was at the VA hospital in Charleston, SC where she helped many veterans as a Mental Health Therapist.

Mandi was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Her hobbies were crafts, music, reading true crime dramas, going to the beach, and swimming, but most of all Mandi loved her family, animals, and her life. After retirement, she planned to create an animal rescue on her family's land in Allendale, SC.

Mandi is preceded in death by her father, Tarsem Purewal. 

Mandi is survived by her husband, Jesse Fisk; her daughter, Rayna Purewal-Fisk; her son, Jasper Purewal-Fisk; her mother, Melda Purewal; her brother, Semmy Purewal; her sister-in-law, Emily Purewal; her nephew, Ravi Purewal; her mother-in-law, Shree Liston; her brother-in-law, Josh Fisk; her uncle, Douglas Smith; her aunt and uncle, Charanjit and Shindo Purewal; many cousins; and her dear friends, Katie Walter and Jason Balut, Erin and Todd Harwood, Karen Hauck, and many more.

A visitation with the family will be at 1:00 pm on July 14, 2024, followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00 pm for the celebration of Mandi's life, at McAlister-Smith Funeral & Cremation, 869 St. James Ave., Goose Creek, SC 29445.
