Andrew "Drew" Vincent Hyams

Andrew “Drew” Vincent Hyams, 29, of Charleston, South Carolina, passed away on Monday, October 17, 2022.

Born on December 29, 1992, in Silver Spring, MD, Drew was the son of Beth (Fuseler) Hyams and Andrew J. Hyams.

Drew graduated from the College of Charleston with a B.S. in Accounting and a Masters in Accountancy. He was employed by Iron Fox in Mount Pleasant as their principle accountant.

Drew loved spending time with his son, Lucas.  They both shared a love of the outdoors and video games. He was an avid athlete, participating in local running races, surfing, and recreational softball. Drew knew the Charleston food and beverage community very well and could always suggest a great place to eat. He enjoyed learning, sharing new things with those around him and spending time with his family and friends.

Drew is survived by his partner, Keri Carter; son, Lucas Taylor Hyams Rimback and Lucas’ mother, Iman Rimback; parents, Andrew and Beth Hyams; three brothers, Alexander, Christopher, and Kevin; one sister, Elizabeth; his aunts and uncles - Deborah Hyams Wade, George and Anne Hyams, Jimmy and Katie Hyams, David and Dee Fuseler, Kay Oleen, Lisa and JP Pennell; along with many cousins.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 21, 2022, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at McAlister-Smith Funeral and Cremation, 347 Folly Road, James Island, SC.

The Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at 11:00 am at Harbor View Presbyterian Church, 900 Harbor View Road, Charleston, SC 29412. Refreshments will be served following the service in the Fellowship Hall.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Charleston Youth Company (https://square.link/u/BbnskaqR) or the Early Care and Education Program at Harbor View Presbyterian Church (www.harborviewpc.org) in Drew's name.

Interment will be private.
