Angelo "Bubba" Megna III

Angelo "Bubba" Megna III, 57, of Awendaw, South Carolina, passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2025.

Angelo was born on February 28, 1968, in Charleston, SC to Florence Jackson Megna and the late Angelo Megna Jr. Angelo loved racing mud trucks and was on the front cover of Motor Trend Magazine in 2007. Hometeam BBQ was his home away from home.

Angelo is preceded in death by his father, Angelo Megna.

Angelo is survived by his mother, Florence Megna; his aunt, Joyce Jackson; and his loving nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, on Monday, October 13, 2025, at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant.The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant. The burial will immediately follow at Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Rd, Mt Pleasant, SC 29464.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Angelo may be made to Amedisys Hospice Care, 1027 Physicians Drive, Charleston, SC 29414.

Ms. Florence would like to give a special thanks to the Amedisys Hospice Care team for all of the love and care they gave her son, and all of the other caregivers who took care of him. Ms. Florence keeps a special place in her heart for his many friends who helped him on his journey with their love, support and care. These friends became her family.
