Anita Grace Singletary

Anita Grace Singletary (Toni), 85 of Goose Creek, South Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2026.

Born on October 28, 1940, in Macon, Georgia, Toni was the daughter of the late Alice Ruth Baumgartner and John William Sandefur.

Toni lived an active lifestyle and enjoyed running, golfing, and tennis. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed puzzles and spending time with family. She spent 9 years living abroad in Japan - working, making friends, and enjoying the Japanese culture. She retired from civil service with the Navy after many years of faithful service.

Toni is preceded in death by her brother Charles Sandefur, sister Jean Hall, son Paul Singletary, daughter Kay Conroy, and her granddaughter Melissa Dunn.

Toni is survived by her son, Kenneth Eugene Singletary and three grandchildren: Heather Register (William T. Register), Jimmy Conroy (Erin Conroy), and Elizabeth Biondo. She is also survived by her sister Joann Moreno, as well as seven great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, from 10:30-11:30 at McAlister-Smith Funeral & Creation, 869 St. James Avenue, Goose Creek, SC 29445, (843) 553-1511.

The service will be held at 11:30 on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at McAlister-Smith Funeral & Cremation, 869 St. James Avenue, Goose Creek, SC 29445, (843) 553-1511. The burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens in North Charleston, SC.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Heart Association.
