Cindy Huddle

As the hart panteth after the water brook, so panteth my soul after the, O God. My soul thirtieth for God, for the living God: When shall I come and appear before God? -Psalm 42:1 and 2

Similar to what King David expressed in 2 Samuel 12:23, I say, I know she shall not return to me, but I shall go to her.

… Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee … Joshua 1:9. After a long hard fight the Lord God lovingly brought our precious sweet Cindy home to be with Him. Cindy Rourk Huddle went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 1, 2026. Born in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on October 1, 1958 to Helen Weston Rourk and the late James Rodman Rourk, Cindy was a graduate of Myrtle Beach High School and the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston; graduating with a BS in Dental Hygiene. Cindy spent 38 years as a Dental Hygienist caring for her patients, but she always remained a beach girl. Cindy was so much more than words can express. She was the sweetest person and greatly loved by so many. Cindy never stopped reading and studying her Bible so she could draw even more closer to her Lord.

Cindy is survived by her loving husband, E. Garrett “Garry” Huddle of Columbia; daughters R. Brianne Huddle of Columbia; Megan M. Huddle of San Antonio, TX; Caitlin C. Huddle of Columbia; mother Helen W. Rourk of Myrtle Beach, SC; sister Melissa R. Lineberger of Myrtle Beach; brothers William “Bill” R. Rourk of Myrtle Beach and James “Jim” G. Rourk of Burlington, NC. 

We, Garry and her girls, are not ashamed: for we know whom we have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which we have committed unto him against that day. (2 Timothy 1:12). Our prayer is if you do not know our savior Jesus Christ, that today you will turn to Him and place your complete trust in Him.

Interment services will be held first on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Ocean Woods Memorial Cemetery, 2408 S. Kings Hwy, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church, 416 Denham Avenue, West Columbia. The family will greet friends at 11:00 a.m. and if need be right after the service.
