Ann Marie Keck

Ann Marie Keck of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, passed away on September 6, 2026, at the age of 63.

Born on September 14, 1962, in Fort Benning, Georgia, Ann Marie moved often while growing up and came to call many places home. After settling in Duncan, Oklahoma, she started her family at a young age and devoted herself to raising her children while pursuing her education, earning both a Bachelor’s degree and a Master of Business Administration.

Ann Marie proudly served 11 years in the United States Army, earning numerous honors, including the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Noncommissioned Officers Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, and Army Reserve Components Overseas Training Ribbon, Third Award. After her honorable discharge, she continued serving others through a career in healthcare.

Ann Marie was a stranger to no one. Her warmth, compassion, and welcoming spirit made people feel at ease, and she cared deeply for those from all walks of life. She especially cherished time with her family and took great joy in being a grandmother.

Ann Marie was preceded in death by her mother, Georgia Gunter; her father, John Steele; and her sisters, Rachel Faulk and Jackie Steele.

She is survived by her spouse, Floyd Keck; her longtime companion and partner, George Tomljanovic, with whom she shared a home and many years of life together; her sisters, Dana Scott and Janie Boulware; her brother, Tony Steele; her sons, Jason (Andrea) Keck and Matthew Steele (Stephanie) Keck; her grandchildren, Avron, Gabriel, and MacKenzie; many nieces, nephews, and extended family members; and countless friends.

Ann Marie will be remembered for her perseverance, service, compassion, and devotion to her family, as well as for the way she welcomed people into her life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Rest peacefully, Ann Marie. You will be forever loved and remembered.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Details regarding the date, time, and location will be announced by McAllister-Smith Funeral Home as arrangements are finalized.
