Anne Fleming, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2023, at the age of 93. Rosser Jr., Paul Rosser, James Craig Rosser; daughters, Lisa Carol King and Jan King Patrick.

Anne was blessed with two great loves in her life. She enjoyed 49 years of marriage to her late husband Henry P. King III and then found love once again when she remarried John M. Fleming who passed away in 2010. She is survived by her son H. In 2018, after living in Bristol for over six decades, Anne decided to move to Mt. Pleasant, SC to spend quality time with her beloved granddaughters Chloe and Emily King. Anne cherished every moment spent with them, supporting them in their achievements such as awards ceremonies, sporting events, drama and graduation ceremonies.

As an adult, she immersed herself in reading, traveling and tennis. She was an active member of the Blue Stocking Club, Bristol Border Guild (Bristol Junior League), The 1900 Literary Club and Tennessee Fats Tennis Club. The Emmanuel Episcopal Church held a special place in her heart, where she attended services and actively contributed to the Kneeler Renovation Project as well as the Memorial Stained Glass Window History Book. During her time in Mt. Pleasant she became a Mahjong mentor to many of the local Somerby residents.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Episcopal Chapel, located at 760 Cumberland St, Bristol, VA 24201. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Emmanuel Episcopal Church of Bristol or Lowcountry Community Hospice of Summerville, SC.

Following the service, a private graveside ceremony will take place at Glenwood Cemetery. Anne's memory will forever be treasured by her loved ones and all those fortunate enough to have known her. May she rest in eternal peace.

We would like to thank all of Anne's friends at the Somerby Retirement Community and Care For Life in Mount Pleasant for their care and support over the years.
