Anthony Wayne Barnhart

Anthony Wayne Barnhart, 64 of Goose Creek, South Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2025. He was a devoted husband, father and Pop. He was a respected roofer, and passionate deep-sea fisherman.

Born on July 27, 1961, in Hagerstown, Maryland. As a roofer by trade, Tony was a perfectionist in every sense of the word. He approached his work with unmatched dedication, taking pride in every detail, every shingle, and every line. His hands bore the calluses of hard labor, but his work bore the mark of excellence. For Tony, anything worth doing was worth doing right. He built his life upon a foundation of love and care for those dearests to him.

Outside of work, Tony found freedom and joy on the open water. Deep sea fishing wasn't just a hobby-it was his calling. He loved the patience it required, the connection to nature it offered, and the stories it gave him to pass down. Whether yelling "Fish On" or simply watching the sunrise from the bow, he felt the most peace being on a boat out at sea.

He shared his life with his sweetheart, Ginny Barnhart. Their marriage was built on quiet strength and unwavering devotion. Together, they raised a family that brought Tony his greatest pride, his children. He was a steady and supportive father. To his grandchildren, he was their beloved "Pop," always ready with nature facts, snacks and warm hugs.

Tony is preceded in death by his parents Donna Selby Barnhart and Maurice Barnhart. He is also preceded in death by his brother Doug Barnhart.

Tony is survived by his wife Ginny Barnhart and three daughters: Crystal Lupton (Jeffrey), Nicole Jones (Michael); and grandchildren: Jason, Adalyn, Layla, Harrison, Ryker, Carter, and Lilliebee; and his siblings: Kimberly Lamoureux, Scott Barnhart and Ginger Martin. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

The family will have a Memorial Gathering on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral & Cremation in Goose Creek. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to your local animal shelter to honor Tony's love of his dogs throughout the years.
