Breanna Simmons

Bre loved life, her family, her friends and never met a stranger. Bre always put others first and looked for the best in everyone and every situation. She was always the ray of sunshine in any room she entered, and people were attracted to her infectious personality. She was loving, compassionate, caring, and nonjudgmental. 

She was a member of the 4-H club in Indiana where she grew up and competed in showing farm animals. During high school, she competed in Show Choir with her two best friends which allowed them to travel.  Which gave her the love of traveling. 

Bre was an avid prankster and welcomed any, and all opportunities to pull pranks on anyone, even one of her doctors and his staff. She loved animals of any kind, especially Fea and goats. 

Bre's work experience included TBonz downtown Charleston, The Mustard Seed on Maybank Highway, Rita's Seaside Grille on Folly Beach and was most recently a RN with the Neurology ICU unit at MUSC.

She loved traveling, golf, boating, golf cart rides around James Island and looking for turtles, snakes, alligators, insects, etc. in any body of water she saw. 

Heaven received an Angel today as Bre was an Angel on earth who changed so many lives for the better with her beautiful smiling face and her overflowing love for all. Whenever you see a ray of sunshine, a beautiful sunset or a beautiful sunrise, know that Bre is shining her love down to all of us!

Breanna is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Alvin James Simmons, Jr., her beloved yellow lab, Indy Simmons, her mother, Judith Ann (Carrier) Schaubschlager, sibling, Carrie Shearer (Rick), niece, Allison Shearer, sibling, Andrea Schaubschlager (Joe), and father-in-law, Alvin James Simmons, Sr.

She is preceded in death by her father, the late William Paul Schaubschlager, and sibling, Nicole Schaubschlager.

The family will receive friends on Friday December 1, 2023, from 5:30pm - 7:30pm at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, 347 Folly Road, Charleston, SC  29412.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday December 2, 2023 at 11:00am, at James Island Baptist Church, 2023 Wappoo Drive, Charleston, SC 29412.

We will have a celebration of Bre's life following the service at 2:00pm – until, The American Legion located at 968 Folly Road, Charleston, 29412.
