Bunny Shuler Gable

Services for Bunny Shuler Gable will be held at Transfiguration Lutheran Church on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, beginning at 11:00 a.m. The Reverend Alexander H. Twedt will officiate. Burial will follow the service in Southland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McAlister- Smith Funeral Home.

Bunny was born on March 21, 1948, in Columbia, and passed away in Lexington on Thursday, April 30, 2026. She was the daughter of Everette Linwood Shuler and Frances Emily Wylie Shuler. She earned an associate’s degree from the University of South Carolina and worked for many years as a dedicated bookkeeper.

Bunny found great joy in spending time with her family and friends and was actively involved with her church. A devoted Christian, she lived her faith daily and was known for her kindness, warmth, and loving spirit. She will be remembered as someone who was truly loved by all who knew her.

Bunny is survived by her loving husband, Bennie Lee Gable; her children, Sonny Wadford, Tonya Wadford Edwards, and Brett Wadford; her daughters-in-law, Melissa Wadford and Patricia Wadford; and her sister, Jennifer Coward. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Mike Shuler.
