Kaden William Barnes

Mason William Burgess also known as Kaden William Barnes, 22, of North Charleston, South Carolina, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 12, 2026.

Born on October 20, 2003, in North Charleston, South Carolina. Kaden was cherished by his parents. Kaden was a bright light in the lives of all who knew him. He’ll be remembered for his kind heart, gentle spirit, and the love he shared so freely with family and friends.

Kaden had a passion for life and brought joy wherever he went. He enjoyed spending time with those he loved, making memories with friends, and embracing every moment with laughter and warmth. His smile could light up a room, and his caring nature left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Above all, Kaden cherished his family. He was a devoted son, a loyal friend, and a source of strength and love to many. His life, though far too short, was filled with meaningful connections and moments that will forever be treasured.

Kaden is survived by his loving parents, siblings and grandparents. So many surviving family members; as well as many extended family members and dear friends who will deeply miss him.

The family will receive friends on April 17, 2026 from 3pm to 4pm for Kaden’s last viewing at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Goose Creek, SC.

Though Kaden is no longer with us in body, his memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
