While attending the University of South Carolina, she met Sid, a Citadel Cadet, in 1968. They married two years later in 1970. Soon after getting married, Carol Ann began her nursing career that would span 50 years. Her deep faith shaped her nursing practice ensuring that all patients received compassionate and dignified care. She was beloved by co-workers and patients alike many of whom stayed in contact with her long after they exited her care. Carol Ann was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She took great pride in helping to care for her grandchildren following her retirement from nursing.
