Carol Deneise Johnson-Bammann, 68, of Ladson, SC, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 21, 2026.

Carol was born on September 9, 1957, in Beaufort, SC, the daughter of James P. Johnson, Jr. and Doris R. Johnson Clark.

She was a graduate of Fort Myers High School in Fort Myers, FL, and had previously attended James Island High School, where she enjoyed being a great help in the Special Education classes. In her younger years, she excelled in dance lessons and always had a love of music. Her favorite activities involved time with her family and especially her three brothers, as well as babysitting while spoiling her young cousins. Carol has always loved all animals and has taken in many rescues over the years, opening her compassionate heart to any and all vulnerable creatures.

Carol is preceded in death by her brother, David P. Johnson; her father, James P. Johnson, Jr.; grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. A.C. Borders, and Mr. and Mrs. James P. Johnson, Sr.

She is survived by her mother, Doris R. Johnson Clark; her husband, Edward Bammann; her brothers, Douglas W. Johnson (Kevin) and Donald C. Johnson (Faye); and a host of extended family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice MSA or James Island Baptist Church.

The Graveside Service will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026 at 10:00am at Live Oak Memorial Gardens, 3093 Ashley River Road, Charleston, SC 29414.
