Carole Elizabeth McDonald

Carole Elizabeth McDonald, 84 of Summerville, South Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2025.

Born on January 7, 1941 in Charleston, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Lillie Mae Crosby and James Dunbar McDonald.

Carole was a youth bowling coach for many years. She worked as a machinist when her husband had a shop. Her passion was growing plants and flowers and she loved to cook. She was a devoted member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church for many years. Her family always came first, and she loved the water. Whether she was at the beach, lake, wading pool or in-ground pool, that is how she would enjoy spending time with family.

Carole is preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Dana.

Carole is survived by her sons: Shawn Hutto (Shannon) and Marty Hutto; grandchildren: Cameron and Brandee (Brent); and great-grandchild, Matthew.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at St. Andrews United Methodist Church, 3225 Ashley River Road in Charleston, SC.
