Caroline Frieda Jacobs

Caroline Frieda Jacobs, 93 of Summerville, South Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2022.

Born on December 2, 1928, in Philadelphia, PA. She was the daughter of the late Minnie Mahler
(Grauwickel) and Max Mahler Sr.

Caroline was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Eugene Allen Jacobs. She was a
homemaker that loved life and her family. She was a devout Lutheran, and always attributed her health
and longevity to dessert and a nightly glass of red wine.

Caroline is survived by her daughter: Carol Herndon of Summerville; son: Stephen Jacobs of Satsuma,
AL; brother: Pete Mahler of High Point, NC; four grandchildren: Jeremy Jacobs, Kimberly Herndon,
Cortney Powell, and Max Jacobs; and four great-grandchildren: Taylor, Ava, Nikon, and Carolina.

There will be a private service for family on Friday, July 22, 2022, at McAlister-Smith Funeral. The burial
will be held at Plantation Memorial Gardens in Moncks Corner, South Carolina.
