Carolyn Sawyer Alexander

Carolyn Sawyer Alexander, 90, passed away, April 2, 2023 on Daniel Island, SC.

She was born on December 21, in Elizabeth City, NC. She had 12 siblings. She
was the daughter of the late Edwin and Edna Sawyer.

She was a graduate of Meredith College. She enjoyed bird watching, gardening
and most of all playing with grandchildren. She was an active member of Sunrise
Presbyterian Church on Sullivans Island, and John Knox Presbyterian Church in
Greenville SC.

She is survived by her husband Neal, daughters Carol Parks of Wake Forest, NC,
(Rusty), Julie Vaughn of Hilton Head Island, SC (James), and Jane McDavid of Mt.
Pleasant, SC. (Patrick), 11 grandchildren and 8 great- grandchildren.

A Memorial service will be held on April 11 at 11AM at Sunrise Presbyterian
Church, 3222 Middle St. Sullivans Island, SC. Internment will be held on April 13
at 11 AM at John Knox Presbyterian Church, 35 Shannon Drive, Greenville, SC.
Receptions to follow after both services.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Brotherhood Fund c\o John Knox
Presbyterian Church.
