Carolyn Cecil Hess

Carolyn Cecil Hess, 101 of Awendaw, South Carolina, passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2025.

Born on February 12, 1924 in Charleston, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Madeline Schang Albers and John Albers.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn is preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Albers, John Albers, Roy Albers, Joe Albers and Paul Albers. Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Donna Cumbee; granddaughters, Lisa Cumbee and Jessica Cumbee; grandsons, Lee Cumbee and Adam Cumbee; great-grandsons; Wyatt Cumbee and Gunner Cumbee and great-granddaughters, Phoenix Calfee, Emerson Cumbee and Sawyer Cumbee.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Road in Mt Pleasant, South Carolina.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Charity of one's choice.
