Christine B Newman, 89, of Charleston, widow of Robert H. Newman, Jr., entered into eternal rest on January 23, 2021, surrounded by her family.
Born on March 27,1931, in Charleston, SC, Christine was a daughter of the late Eldon and Neatha Benton.
She was a devoted Wife, Mother, and Grandmother. Her passion in life was having her children and family for dinner or a special social of some kind. Holidays were always very special to her.
Christine is survived by two children: Brenda J. Garvin of West Ashley, and Robert "Terry" Newman of West Ashley; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband and her parents, Christine was predeceased by a daughter, Wanda G. Garvin, a son, John C. Newman (Skipper) and a grandson Shane Newman.
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic services will be private.
