Christopher William Digirolomo

Christopher William DiGirolomo was born October 13, 1966, in Queens, New York to the late Joseph Michael and Carolyn Nash DiGirolomo.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 23, in the Chapel at McAlister-Smith Funeral and Cremation, State St, 200 State St, West Columbia, SC 29169. A reception will follow in the visitation wing

Christopher attended St. Catherine of Sienna and then graduated from Springfield High School, Queens, New York.  He worked in Union 580 as an iron worker until his retirement. Christopher was instrumental in the construction of many buildings throughout New York over the span of his career.  His passions, beginning at an early age, were creating beautiful artwork, playing football and “DJ” battling with his brother.

In 2009, Christopher married Arelis Florian and their union created one son.  Christopher also had three other children.  Being a “dad” was one of his greatest accomplishments.  He loved all his children dearly and showed them his love every day.  Christopher shared his love for travel with his children and they each are left with wonderful memories of their many vacations together.  In 2015, Christopher moved his family from New York to South Carolina to enjoy his retirement.

In addition to his parents, Christopher was preceded in death by his daughter, Michilene DiGirolomo.  Christopher departed this life on Thursday, April 6, 2023 in West Columbia, South Carolina. 

Christopher leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Arelis Florian de DiGirolomo; children, Jas DiGirolomo, Christopher DiGirolomo, Jr. and William DiGirolomo; sister, Joanne DiGirolomo; brother, Anthony DiGirolomo; two nieces; one nephew; one grand-niece; three grand-nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Christopher was loved by all his family and will be dearly missed by all of us! The family will not be the same without him…. RIP Chris.
