Chrystal Rayburn

Chrystal Rayburn, 96 of Charleston, South Carolina, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025.

Born on June 23, 1928 in Charleston, she was the daughter of the late Naomi Wittschen Pessier and William Pessier and her father who raised her, Russell Browning.

As well as being preceded in death by her parents, Chrystal is also preceded in death by her sisters: Ruth and Betty; and grandson, Aaron.

Chrystal is survived by her daughter, Cathy Shetz; daughter, Nancy Johansson; son, Jimmy Rayburn; daughter, Cynthia Rayburn; 7 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday May 18th, 2025 at Bethany Cemetery 10 Cunnington Ave, Charleston, SC 29405 at 1:30 PM.
