Cindy Lee Smith

Cindy Lee (Gorin) Smith, age 62, a former Summerville resident passed away Thursday morning, September 8, 2022, at Roper Berkeley Hospital in Summerville, SC. She was born May 9, 1960 at Edwards AFB, California. A daughter of the late Msgt. Joseph Gorin, Jr. and Cleda (Keys) Gorin. She graduated in 1978 from Hanahan High school, Hannahan, SC. 

She was a former employee of NOCS for 23 years. Cindy loved to spend time with her grandchildren, family, and her pets. 

She is survived by her husband, Ernest Smith; son, Joseph M. Gorin (Valerie) of Summerville, SC; sisters Terri Gorin of Reevesville, SC and Sheri Gorin of Charleston, SC; grandchildren, Aubrey and Lorelai Gorin; long time friend of the family, Debra Walters. She was predeceased by her sister, Vicki Gorin. 

A celebration of her life will be Saturday, September 17th, 2022 at 2:00pm at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, 869 St. James Avenue Goose Creek, SC 29445.
