Connie Louise Dyckmans

Connie Louise Dyckmans, 71 of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2026.

Born on December 11, 1954 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Peggy Stewart Lefever and the late Kenneth Rankin.

Her family moved to Montclair, Michigan, where she met her first husband, Robert Bronaugh. Later, they moved to Moncks Corner, where she began building a life filled with hard work, new experiences, and plenty of stories.

Over the years, she held many different jobs, but one chapter stands out in particular-her 25 years as a cashier at Walmart. She remembers the customers fondly and the many familiar faces who came through her checkout line. For her, it was never just a job; it was a chance to meet people, make connections, and become a familiar and friendly face in the community.

Connie is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Lisa Rowe; and her brother-in-law, Tony Rowe.

Connie is survived by her husband, John Dyckmans Jr.; daughter, Peggy Bronaugh Lehman; son-in-law, Kevin Lehman; grandchildren: Marydeary, Cianan, Keenan and Coleman; brother-in-law, Andrew Dyckmans.

A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, Sept. 24, 2026 at Immaculate Conception Church, 510 Saint James Avenue in Goose Creek, South Carolina.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Charleston Animal Society, Berkeley Campus, 131 Central Berkely Drive, Moncks Corner, SC 29461.
