Darice Theresa Norton

Darice Theresa Norton was called to eternal rest on November 24th 2025, surrounded by her family.

Born on May 26, 1962, Darice was the proud daughter of Alexander and Helen Chocas, and was raised in Walnut Creek, California.

She spent many years in San Diego, California before relocating with her children and sister to Charleston, South Carolina, where she was an active and beloved member of her community.

Darice was guided in life by her immense faith in God, her deep love for her family, and her unwavering commitment to helping others.

From the day they were born, Darice devoted her entire life to her two children, Bruce and Elizabeth. She supported them, sacrificed for them, and said everyday her children were a gift from God. She was a remarkable mother.

Darice is survived by her children, Bruce Norton (Kirsten Norton) and Elizabeth Green (Daniel Green); her brother, Bob Chocas (Wanda Chocas); her sister, Crystal Lottig; and her granddaughter, Kari Elizabeth Norton.

Her memorial service will be held at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 67 Anson Street, Charleston, SC 29401 at 3:00pm on December 5, 2025.
