Hanahan

David “Dave” Allen Comer, 74 of Hanahan, South Carolina, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023.

Born on December 28, 1948 in Hayward, CA Dave was the son of Lena Comer (Scharnhorst) and William Comer.  Dave was an avid sports fan, with a lifelong love for the San Francisco Giants, the San Francisco 49ers, and the Boston Celtics.  He had an even bigger passion for music, with a specific love for classic rock.  He ensured that growing up, his children also understood the importance of respecting musicians and their art.  He loved playing “Who Sings This” in car rides with his children.  One of his biggest hobbies was going to as many concerts as he could.

David is preceded in death by mother and father, William and Lena Comer and his wife of 35 years, Kathie Sisneros Comer.

David is survived by three daughters Jean Brooke Sisneros, Amanda Renee Cromer (Timothy Ryan Cromer), Elizabeth Lynette Comer (Garrett Ryan Haman); and two sons Kyle William Comer (Andrea Handleman), Kevin Allen Comer; and also by his grandchildren Tyler, Tucker, Tanner, Miles, Kelsey, Claire, and Abigail.

One of his greatest joys and prides in life was being the greatest Papa Dave.

The family will have a private graveside service at Beaufort National Cemetery, in Beaufort, South Carolina.   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans Organization or the Susan B. Komen Foundation, in honor of his late wife Kathie.
