David F. Loderick

Mr. David Loderick, 70, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, passed away on September 14, 2023 after a valiant battle with cancer.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Irma (Badgely) Loderick.

Born in Morristown, NJ, he was the son of the late Stuart Loderick and is survived by his mother, Jean de Elorza.

David grew up in Summit, NJ and attended Seton Hall University, where he earned a BA degree. After college, he founded his own computer consulting firm where he worked as a computer analyst for many years. David and Irma loved playing golf together, especially on Kiawah Island, where he lived after retiring. He was also an avid cyclist. David enjoyed volunteering for the Charleston Seafarers Ministry. Some of his duties included assisting in the administration of Covid vaccines during the pandemic and driving crew members to local stores so they could shop.

He is lovingly remembered by his mother; his brothers, Stephen Loderick of Beaufort, SC and his twin brother, Kenneth Loderick of Needham, MA and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at 3PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant Chapel, 1520 Rifle Range Rd.  Family to receive friends following the service.

Burial of Cremated Remains with final prayers and commendation to be held November 9, 2023 at 11AM at Fair Mount Cemetery, Chatham, NJ with Father Chris Han, celebrant.  A Reception gathering will follow at Marco Polo Restaurant in Summit, NJ immediatley following the services.  

 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Charleston Seafarers Ministry at www.charlestonseafarers.org or your favorite charity.
