David Michael Walker

David Michael Walker, 74, of Summerville, South Carolina, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024.

Born on April 8, 1949, in Trenton, NJ, he was the son of the late Muriel Symons Walker and the late Bertram Walker.

David was a loving father and husband who led a full, active life.  He served as a Drill Instructor for the United States Army and received an honorable discharge.  After the Army, David went on to make his career of 33 years in the HVAC industry.  He volunteered his time as a softball coach in their community for his daughters.  He was also involved with the Elks Club, and a local Hockey League where he played for many years. After he retired and moved to South Carolina, he stayed active in the community with clubs such as The Wine Club and Veterans Club.  He was also involved with the Del Webb Softball Team.  He enjoyed playing Pickle Ball.  He and his wife enjoyed going on an occasional cruise and traveling.

In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Patricia Ann Walker.

David is survived by by his daughters and their spouses, Michele and Steve Eisenberg.  Elizabeth and Kimberly Walker, three grandchildren Ashton, Gary and Leigh Anne and his beloved dogs, Charlie and Ginger.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 from 6pm - 7pm at McAlister-Smith Home at 869 St James Ave, Goose Creek, SC  29445.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to the Charleston Animal Society and Berkeley Animal Shelter to further celebrate his life and love of animals.
