Denise Annette Soter

Denise Annette Soter, 68, of Charleston, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 30, 2025, surrounded by family and friends at home.

Born on April 12, 1957, in Massena, NY, Denise was the daughter of the late Joseph and Joyce Troia.

Denise graduated from Clarkson College with a BS in Manufacturing Engineering. She was employed at Waters Corporation in Milford, MA for nearly 40 years as a Supplier Quality Engineer until her retirement in 2020.

Denise moved to Charleston, SC in 2020 where she enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Affectionately called Nana, she especially loved spending time with her grandson, Jake. Denise also relished spending time in her pool and reading poolside. She made many new friends in the Charleston area and was loved by all. Other interests were travel, horses, TV shows NCIS and FBI. She also enjoyed keeping up with the Boston Bruins and New England Patriots.Denise is loved and survived by her husband, Eric Soter; son, Derek Soter; daughter, Mandie Millard; son in-law, David Millard; grandson, Jake Millard and a brother, Paul Troia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ASPCA.
