Donald "Rex" Gallman passed peacefully in his home in Moncks Corner, South Carolina on February 4, 2026. He was born on July 30, 1938, in Phenix City, Alabama, to the late Mildred and Woodrow Gallman.
Rex graduated from Central High school in 1956. He proudly served in the National Guard and dedicated 30 years of service to JCPenney. Rex married his wife Wanda in June of 1977, and they would spend the rest of their days together. Rex was an avid hunter and fisherman, and some of his most prized possessions were his hunting trophies. Though, his pride and joy were his dogs Prissy, Tiki, Cocky, and Bama.
Rex is survived by his beloved wife, Wanda L. Gallman, and his children: Donna Raye Affolter, Jack Wheatley, Jr., Mike Wheatley, Sr., and Sherry Wheatley. Donald was a proud grandfather to Justin, Raye, Dylan, Jack III, Blake, Jaycie, Michael Dean, Conley, Avery, Christian, and Madison. He was also blessed with many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Rex is also survived by his siblings; a brother, Michael Gallman of Columbus, Georgia and a sister, Sylvia (Jim) Harrison of Greenville, South Carolina.
Rex will be remembered for his devotion to his family and beloved dogs, his strong work ethic, and the love he had for the simple joys of life.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
