Doris L Collins

Doris (Lois) Collins, 92, of Charleston, SC, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 10, 2026. 

Born August 24, 1933, in Horry County, SC, she was the daughter of Charles Blune Housand and Ethel Prince Housand. 

Lois was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Nelson Collins; her parents; her brothers, Dr. Hoyt Housand and Eston Housand; and son, Ricky Collins. 

She is survived by her daughter, Karen Seals; daughter-in-law, Debbie Collins and grandchildren, Bert Secrest and Courtney Collins. 

Lois retired as an Orthodontic Lab Technician after 25 years; and enjoyed being an active member of Fort Johnson Baptist Church when she wasn't caring for her family. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at 2:00 pm, on Friday, May 15, 2026, at Fort Johnson Baptist Church, 1473 Camp Road, Charleston, SC 29412. Immediately following she will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery, 604 Fort Johnson Rd, Charleston, SC 29412. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Lois' memory may be sent to Fort Johnson Baptist Church Building Fund.
