Doris Brenda Parrott, 84, of Charleston, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 21, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter and generosity that will be remembered forever.

Born on October 18, 1941, in Savannah, GA, Brenda was the daughter of the late Doris Waldhour Parrott and the late Rodney C. Parrott.

In addition to her parents, Brenda is preceded in death by her brothers: Rodney W. Parrott, Ronald E. Parrott and Dennis G. Parrott.

Brenda loved her family and her friends deeply, holding each relationship close to her heart. Her loyalty was unwavering, and she showed up with support, warmth and understanding. She had a great love for her pets throughout her life, as there were many. Her beloved dachshund, Riley, was her constant companion and a source of great joy.

Brenda never met a stranger. She had a natural gift for connection, greeting everyone she encountered with an open heart and an easy smile. She loved to laugh and to share stories from her life offering wisdom, humor and comfort in equal measure. Her giving spirit touched countless lives, and she was always ready to help others in ways, both big and small. To know Brenda was to feel welcomed, valued and loved. Her presence brightened rooms, and her kindness left a lasting imprint on everyone fortunate enough to cross her path. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew her.

Brenda is survived by her brother, Russell C. Parrott (Mark); nieces, Lisa P. Cooper (Gary), Julie P. Watkins (Bobby), and Dawn R. Fagre: and nephew, Eric C. Parrott (Dana). Her extended family includes dearly loved great nieces & nephews and great-great nieces & nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at 5:00 PM on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, 2501 Bees Ferry Road in West Ashley.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Charleston Animal Society, North Charleston, SC.
