Dorothy Marie Finger

Dorothy Marie Finger, 86, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend who passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2022.

Born on April 12, 1936, in Pearisburg, Virginia, Dorothy was a daughter of the late Mary McCroskey and William McCroskey.

She is preceded in death by her brothers, Morrell, Edward, Clinton, Russell, Kenneth, Eugene, Jimmy (her twin), and Douglas and her sisters, Ruby and Lorraine.

She is survived by her brother, Donald McCroskey, and his wife, Vickie of Pembroke, Virginia; her sister, Martha and her husband, Bobby Smith of Rocky Mount, Virginia; and her sister, Connie Wheeler of Narrows, Virginia.  She is also survived by her son, Randy Dowdy and his wife, Darlene, of Stafford, Virginia; her daughter, Debbie and her husband Jimmy Curwen of Goose Creek, South Carolina; and her daughter, Sondra and her husband, Don Minor, of Sacramento, California.  She has eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Macular Degeneration
Foundation.

A celebration of life will be held in her hometown of Pearisburg, Virginia at a date and time to be
announced.
