Dorothy Hill, 91, of James Island, SC was born on October 1, 1930 and passed away on April 4, 2022.
Dorothy was the daughter of Elizabeth Garrett and Walter Reid. She excelled in school and moved to New York City as a teenager. She quickly left behind housekeeping to work in the medical field.
In New York she met and married Samuel Hill and had six children.
For many years Dorothy served as a Deaconess at First Baptist Church of James Island, SC.
She was an excellent cook and known throughout her family for her sweet potato pies!
She was and is still loved. She will be missed dearly.
