It is with profound sorrow that the family of Edward Parks Greene, beloved son and brother, shares the news of his death. Parks passed peacefully from this life on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, in North Charleston, SC, at the age of 39, due to complications of congenital heart disease.

Born in Gretna, LA, Parks was drawn to music from a young age and particularly to the organ which became his love and profession, culminating in his appointment as suborganist at Grace Church Cathedral where the congregation and choirs adopted him with great love and affection. In addition to his organ playing, Parks played the carillon and was an avid campanologist with the St. Dunstan's Guild bell band, and change ringing with tower bells and handbells.

Parks was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Carle and Lucille Greene; maternal grandmother, Louise Meyer; cousin, Nathan Harris and his Uncle Jon.

He is survived by his maternal grandfather, Ned Harris; his parents, Beth and Richard Greene; his sister, Grace Dellis-Wyatt (Spencer) and his nephews: Greyson Wyatt, Teddy Dellis and Louie Dellis; as well as several aunts and uncles. Parks will remain in the hearts of all he left behind, and his dry wit will be missed.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Grace Church Cathedral, 98 Wentworth Street, Charleston, SC 29401, with a reception to follow in Hanahan Hall. Flowers in his honor are welcome.

Burial will be private in the University of the South Cemetery, Winchester, TN, where Parks will forever be surrounded by beauty, music, and bells.
