Elizabeth "Libby" Ecton Little, 75 of Charleston, South Carolina, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024.
Born on April 19, 1948 in Oklahoma City, OK, Libby was the daughter of the late Marian Elizabeth (Brooks) Ecton and Wiley Robert Ecton. She was the loving wife of Richard Joseph Little for nearly 50 years before his passing in 2019.
She was a graduate of Towson High School, the University of Maryland (BA & PHd), and Loyola University (MSed). She spent most of her career at Carroll Community College as an educator and department chair. Libby loved her family, children, and grandchildren deeply. She loved her dogs, the beach, and time with close friends. She was an avid sports fan who watched countless family lacrosse games, the Ravens, and any other good game she could find. Her legacy endures through the educators she taught, her example of love, her tireless work ethic, and her devotion to keep the bond of her family strong. Her younger brothers remember her as a loving sister, material to their upbringing.
Libby and her husband raised their children in Baltimore, MD and both are graduates of St. Paul's School. Libby is survived by her daughter, Sarah Butler (Drew), their children, Jackson, Brooks, Madison, and Elizabeth; her son, Brad Little (Emily), their boys Barrett, Wiley, and Getty; her brothers, Robert Ecton and Randy Ecton (Suzie), their daughter Grace; and sister-in-law Chrissy, and her daughters, Betsy and Emily Scroggs.
