Listen to Obituary

Evelyn “Annette” Cline of Elgin went to be with the Lord Wednesday, July 15th, 2026. Born July 29, 1964 in Columbia, SC, she was a daughter of the late Grover and Helen Crim. A funeral service will be held at McAlister-Smith Funeral & Cremation on July 25, 2026 at 10am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the South Carolina Oncology Association Foundation .

Annette is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Michael Dean Cline, and children, Johnathon Michael Cline (Erin) of Blythewood and Christopher Andrew Cline of Columbia. She is the proud grandmother of two granddaughters, Merritt and Mollie. She is survived by 3 brothers and 2 sisters. George “Fuzzy” Crim, Eddie Crim (Anita), David Crim, Barbara Ann Hammond (Russ) and Lisa Crim. Annette was a loving aunt to 6 nieces and 3 nephews. She is also survived by a close knit family of cousins who often felt more like siblings.

Annette retired from Richland School District 2. She had a deep love for her family, sun on her skin and riding in the passengers seat while driving country roads with her husband. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Her joy came from relishing in the presence of her people. Her Earthly absence will be felt deeply. We find comfort in the certainty that our separation is only temporary, and that we will rest together in the peace of eternal life.
