Everett "Papa" Croxton, 72 years old, died December 8, 2022, after a long illness. 

He was born in Florence, SC to the late Everett and Bereniece (Jackson) Croxton.

Everett is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Debbie Quesnel of Charleston, SC; two children: Amy Crown of Goose Creek, SC and Kate Bowen of Isle of Palms, SC; sister, Eleanor Croxton of Dallas, TX; along with his adored grandchildren: Hayden, Trey, Elliot Claire, and Adeline; son-in-law, BJ Bowen and extended family in NC, VT, MA, TX, and CT. 

He was preceded in death by his daughter Julie Michelle Croxton.

Everett grew up in Florence and Charleston, SC. He called Charleston home. He graduated from North Charleston High School, having been voted most courteous, which is true of his life. Much of his career was dedicated to housing code enforcement and real estate appraisal. He later earned a degree in networking and retired from IT support contracting in 2017.

Everett was a world traveler, having visited Europe, Japan and many places in the United States. He was a lover of animals and shared a special bond with his dog, Chloe. He was a man of humor, good bourbon, and voice of reason. He will be missed by his family and friends.

A private celebration of life will be held at a future date.
