Frances A. Eckley

Frances A. Eckley, 84, of Charleston, SC, passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2022.

Born on March 25, 1938 in California, she was a daughter of the late Mary Graves Parish and Clyde Parish.

Frances enjoyed traveling with her husband when they were a young military couple. They adopted two loving daughters, Trina and Nikki, and raised their family at their home in West Ashley. After retiring, she enjoyed working in her yard and spending time with her grandchildren. Frances will be remembered as a funny, strong matriarch who was well-loved by her family.

Besides her parents, Frances is preceded in death by her husband, Peter Eckley and her brother, Robert Parish.

Frances is survived by her daughters, Christina Eckley and Nicole Simmons (George); 7 grandchildren: Jessica, Shawn, Erin, Hallie, Leila, Sophia and George; 5 great-grandchildren: Lilly, Penelope, Vicky, Chicora and Brady and her siblings, Terry Parish (Donna) and Terrene Diamond (Chuck).

The family will receive friends on Monday, September 12, 2022, from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, West Ashley, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Live Oak Memorial Gardens, Charleston, South Carolina.
