Frank Olin Hunt, Jr.

Frank Olin Hunt, Jr., 89, of James Island, SC, passed away on Monday, August 18, 2025.

Frank was born on June 14, 1936, in Charleston, SC. He was a son of the late Frank Olin Hunt, Sr. and Louise Seyle Hunt.

Frank is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Miriam Hunt Johnson; and his brothers, Richard Hunt and Keith Hunt.

Frank is survived by his wife of 66 years, Sheila Hunt; his daughter, Cindy Hunt; and his son, David Hunt (Lauren); five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother William Hunt and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 5, 2025, from 5:00-7:00pm at McAlister-Smith Funeral and Cremation - James Island, 347 Folly Road, Charleston, SC 29412.

The Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 10:00am at James Island Baptist Church, 2023 Wappoo Drive, Charleston, SC 29412. Inurnment will follow after the service at Holy Cross Cemetery, 604 Fort Johnson Road, Charleston, SC 29412.
