Fredrick Chase Wright

Fredrick Chase Wright, 33 of Goose Creek, South Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at his home in Goose Creek, SC.

Born on May 24, 1993, in North Charleston, SC, he was a son of Marsha Woodward Strickland and the late Barry Wright Jr.

He was a loving father, husband, son, brother, grandson, nephew and friend. He enjoyed life for what it was. He was a graduate of St. John's Christian Academy and Paul Hall Maritime Training Center. He was a Merchant Marine and although he had been one for 15 years, his career had just begun. He had so many hobbies and accomplishments during his life. He loved everything from lawn care, working on cars, gaming, car shows, cooking, college football, video editing but his most favorite hobby of all was spending time with his girls. He has also accomplished many things from becoming a father and husband to being a master electrician & welder. He just recently obtained his United States Coast Guard 3rd Engineer Unlimited Officers license. He was a member of the SIU (Seafarers International Union) and was exto become a member of the AMO Union (America Maritime Officers). His favorite membership he had was being a part of the Pull up Nation Car Group. His love of life was contagious. He lived a fearless life and loved adventure. He made such an impact on so many over the years.

Fred is preceded in death by his father, Barry Wright Jr.; grandmother, Geneva Wright; grandfather, Barry Wright Sr.; grandfather, Gary Long; great-grandparents, Nancy and Donald Valicek; grandfather, Michael W. Woodward; and grandparents, Emmett and Patricia Strickland.

Fred is survived by his wife, Dena Wright; daughters, Analynn and Madison; mother, Marsha Strickland; father, Greg Strickland, brother, Layne Strickland; grandmothers, Sharon Valicek and Ruena Long; and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends on Monday, September 21, 2026, from 10:00 - 11:00 at St. James United Methodist, 512 St. James Ave. in Goose Creek, SC.

The service will be held at St. James Methodist Church on Monday, September 21, 2026, at 512 St. James Ave. in Goose Creek, Sc 29445.
