Gene L Sims

Gene L Sims, 72 of Goose Creek, South Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2022.

Born on August 20,1950 in Charleston, SC was a son of the late Bonnie Sims (Williamson) and Burford Sims.

Gene retired after 30 years of service in the South Carolina Highway Patrol. Gene was on the Governors' RAID Team as well as the ACE TEAM.  He enjoyed golf, playing cards and fishing.

Gene is survived by his daughters, Denise Sims Smith of Greer, SC, Brenna Sims Owens (Bradley) of Ridgeland, SC, his grandson Andrew G Shannon and granddaughter Brenley R Owens.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, the 10th of December, 2022, from  2:00 PM -  4:00 PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral & Cremation, 869 St. James Avenue in Goose Creek, South Carolina 29445. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Alzheimer's Association.
