Geraldine O’Dell Lockaby

Geraldine O’Dell Lockaby entered into the presence of her Lord, Jesus Christ on June 25, 2026, at the age of 88 in Charleston, South Carolina. She was born on September 19, 1937 to the late Howard & Stella O’Dell in Murphy, North Carolina. She was the eldest daughter with 10 siblings (survived by 7 siblings). For over five decades she lived in Acworth, Georgia, raising her children, working in the family business, serving at her church, and being near family. Geraldine was mother to Jerry Lockaby (Amanda) of Canton, Georgia, and Rebecca Tuck (Craig) of Hanahan, South Carolina; grandmother to Courtney (Tuck) Carpenter, Jordan Tuck, Madison (Lockaby) Jarvis, Rachel (Tuck) Cooper, Lindsay (Tuck) Fernandez and Emily (Lockaby) Monty. She became a grandmother to 11 great-grandchildren. 

The Visitation (9 a.m.) & Funeral Service (10:30 a.m.) will be held on Friday, July 3, 2026, at Darby Funeral Home: 480 East Main Street, Canton, Georgia. Internment will immediately follow. She will be buried next to her beloved husband, Harold Lockaby at Rolling Hills Memorial Gardens in Acworth, Georgia.
