Harold Eugene Chedester

Harold Eugene Chedester, 93, of Charleston, SC, passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at The Colleton County Medical Center.

Born on January 10, 1930, in Crab Apple, PA, he was the son of the late Hilda Post Chedester and the late Harry Chedester.

Harold was a proud 30-year Veteran of the United States Marine Corp. who served his country in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars.

Besides his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia, and 5 brothers and sisters.

Harold is survived by his granddaughter, Mona King of Charleston, SC and two step-daughters, Beth Collins Morris of Norwalk, OH and Barbara Spitnale of Midland, Mi.  He is also survived by his beloved French Bulldog, “George”.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Veterans Victory House in Walterboro, SC or to the Wounded Warrior Project.  “Semper Fidelis, Gramps.”  Thank you for your years of service.
